After graduating from university with an economics degree and completing his national service, Colin joined the investment banking world with First National Bank and the Board of Executors in South Africa, and Eden Group Asset Management in London. On returning from the UK he completed his Field Guiding qualification and after 3 years of 5-star game lodge experience he took on the role of joint General Manager of Madikwe Conservancy Private Game Reserve (MCPGR) and Operations Director of Purple Rain Properties (the largest shareholder in MCPGR). After 11 years in these roles he exited these positions at the end of February 2020, to pursue short-medium term consultancy projects.

Penny Lombard (57)

Penny graduated from university with a Bachelor of Accounting Science and immediately started her articles with Ernst and Young. On completion of her articles she started her working career with Nantai Shipping and then Mondi in South Africa, and then as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. On returning from the UK she completed her Field Guiding qualification and after 3 years of general game lodge experience she took on the role of joint General Manager of Madikwe Conservancy Private Game Reserve and Accountant for Purple Rain Properties. She held these positions until the end of December 2020 when she left to pursue more short-medium term consultancy projects.
